WKU posted a 31-over 607 (296-311) in the first two rounds and was one of only four teams in the 13-team field to post a sub-300 round on the afternoon. Duke, ranked 20th by Golfstat, led the field at eight-under 568, while UNCW was second after shooting six-over 582 on Sunday.
Senior Trey Aguirre tallied the low round of the day for WKU with his even-par 72 in the second round. The Navarre, Fla., native was tied for 11th alongside North Dakota's Jacob Dehne and Jackson Wetherbee of Western Illinois through two rounds at two-over 146.
Aguirre was tied for fifth among all competitors with 25 pars in 36 holes and was a combined two-under on par-3 and par-5 holes.
