Greg Collins’ debut as the WKU women’s basketball coach in a 104-74 exhibition win at E.A. Diddle Arena featured up tempo and sharing that fits the liking of a team that showed the balance and speed needed to spark confidence ahead of hosting No. 5 Louisville on Tuesday.
Dee Givens was the highlight on the floor with 27 points in 20 minutes to lead six players in double figures. WKU had 29 assists after recording no more than 19 all of last season. The Lady Toppers averaged 12 seconds per possession, scored 36 points off turnovers with 32 coming on fast-break opportunities.
