WKU falls in physical matchup to MTSU, Elgedawy picks up 30th career double-double

The Lady Toppers (3-8), (2-3, C-USA) took on conference rival Middle Tennessee (8-4), (6-1, C-USA). The Lady Blue Raiders came out over WKU 75-65 despite being outscored 45-41 in the second half by the Lady Toppers.

“First of all I am proud of how the kids kept fighting,” head coach Greg Collins said. “We had a horrible second quarter, they came back in the second half and they kept fighting in the third quarter and even being down in the fourth — they kept grinding away.”

Redshirt junior Anastasia Hayes scored 25 points for MTSU, leading her team to victory.
