Western Kentucky junior Andrea Larsen tallied her first goal of the season to help the WKU soccer team pick up its sixth win in its last seven matches with a 1-0 victory over Middle Tennessee on Friday at the WKU Soccer Complex.
Larsen’s 39th minute header was set up by Nahyo Jalajel’s free kick from the right side of the field, giving WKU (9-4 overall, 4-1 Conference USA) the only goal it would need.
Allison Leone earned the shutout for the Lady Topppers, finishing the night with two saves. It was WKU’s seventh shutout of the season and the sixth in the last seven games.
