WKU assistant men’s basketball coach Ben Hansbrough was arrested Saturday night for driving under the influence.

Hansbrough, a former NBA player, was processed at the Warren County Jail on Saturday at 8:43 p.m. and released early Sunday morning with a $1,000 bond. No court date has been set yet.

“We are aware of the situation and are handling it internally at this time,” WKU associate director of media relations Zach Greenwell told WBKO.

Hansbrough, 29, has worked with WKU basketball in a support role the last two years, and became a full-time assistant this summer.
