Western Kentucky does not plan to trade quality for haste in its search for a new men's basketball coach.
Athletic director Todd Stewart told the Daily News in an interview Saturday that the school will do its homework as it moves forward from the abrupt resignation of former coach Ray Harper.
"The most important thing is to get it right," Stewart said. "We have to get this right. That will be as short or as long as necessary to ensure that we get it right. What we will ultimately do is hire the best person to take this program where it belongs and leads us to high-level success on and off the court.
