Elysa Wesolek, who was originally part of Western Kentucky's 2018 freshman signing class, was released from her letter of intent and is now committed to South Carolina, she announced Monday night via Twitter.
Wesolek, a 6-foot-2 forward and South Carolina native, tweeted: “I would like to thank Coach Greg Collins and WKU for allowing me to re-open my recruitment. After an official visit, I have decided to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of South Carolina. I look forward to playing for Coach Dawn Staley and her outstanding staff.”
South Carolina has won four straight SEC Tournament championships and won the 2017 NCAA Tournament championship.
