BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU volleyball head coach Travis Hudson came in at No. 8 on Volleyball Magazine’s list of top Division I women’s head coaches as announced by the publication Thursday afternoon.
The poll was conducted among nearly 40 NCAA Division I men’s and women’s head coaches. Penn State’s Russ Rose came in at the top spot shortly followed by Hudson at No. 8. Ten head coaches were included on the list. Criteria included judging coaches based on their particular coaching abilities and how they run their respective programs.
Hudson, the reigning Conference USA Coach of the Year, led WKU to a 32-4 campaign in 2015 as the Lady Toppers captured both the Conference USA Regular Season and Tournament titles and advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament for just the second time in program history.
