BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- WKU Soccer will open its 2016 C-USA slate at 6 p.m. (CT) on Thursday evening at Marshall before traveling to Belmont for the final non-conference clash of the season at 5 p.m. (CT) on Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Toppers (4-3-0) are coming off a 2-0 victory over Morehead State last Sunday afternoon, the team's second shutout in as many weeks. Freshman Chandler Backes, the leading scorer in C-USA with seven goals and 15 points, tallied both goals in the contest while the defense held the Eagles to just a single shot on goal.
