BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – After splitting a pair of matches during its opening weekend of play, WKU soccer will continue its season-opening road trip at Miami (Ohio) with a 3 p.m. start time on Friday afternoon.
The Lady Toppers earned a 7-1 victory at UT Martin last Friday before dropping a 2-0 decision at Memphis on Sunday afternoon. Chandler Backes and Sarah Gorham each tallied a pair of goals on the weekend, while Allison Leone came away with 11 saves across the two matches. Miami enters Friday’s match with an 0-2 record, falling at home against Vanderbilt (2-1) and Evansville (2-0) last weekend.
