IRVING, Texas – Sophomore midfielder Nicole Roseland has been named the C-USA Co-Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday morning. The honor is the first of Roseland’s career and WKU’s third consecutive C-USA Defensive Player of the Week winner.
With Roseland’s accolades, WKU becomes the first C-USA member to earn four consecutive Player of the Week honors from four different players since Central Florida accomplished the feat in 2007. Chandler Backes began the Lady Toppers’ streak with Offensive Player of the Week honors on Sept. 6, and Olivia Fitzgerald, Makenzie Costner and Roseland have extended the run in each of the last three weeks.
