IRVING, Texas – Junior goalkeeper Allison Leone has picked up her second consecutive C-USA Goalkeeper of the Week honor as announced by the conference office on Monday morning after posting five saves and a pair of shutouts over the weekend.
With Leone’s award, WKU extended its C-USA record of consecutive Players of the Week to six consecutive weeks, with Chandler Backes, Olivia Fitzgerald, Makenzie Costner and Nicole Roseland also garnering individual laurels from the conference.
The Kennesaw, Ga., native tallied her sixth and seventh solo shutouts of 2016 and brought her career total of clean sheets to an even 20 with her performances against Middle Tennessee and UAB.
