BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - WKU Soccer will kick off its 2016 regular season campaign this weekend, heading south to face UT Martin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening before taking on Memphis in a matinee matchup on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
The Lady Toppers come into the regular season after splitting a pair of preseason exhibition contests last weekend. WKU fell, 1-0, on a late goal against Northern Kentucky last Friday evening at the WKU Soccer Complex, but rebounded with a 2-0 shutout at Xavier on Sunday. WKU outshot its opponents by a combined 37-9 margin in the two preseason matches and found goals from senior Olivia Fitzgerald and redshirt sophomore Sarah Gorham against the Musketeers.
