BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Former WKU goalkeeper Nora Abolins has signed to play professionally for QBIK Karlstad in Elitettan, the second-highest division in Sweden. The 2016 season begins in April for Abolins and QBIK.
Prior to signing with QBIK, Abolins played one season with Durham United FC in League1 in Ontario, where she led the team to a 2015 title. She posted 11 shutouts and was named the league’s MVP, the Goalkeeper of the Year and was chosen to the All-Star team.
Abolins spent one season on the Hill, after transferring from Detroit-Mercy in 2013.
