BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Freshman Chandler Backes led the way offensively for WKU as she scored two goals to pace the Lady Toppers to a 2-0 win over Morehead State at the WKU Soccer Complex on Sunday afternoon.
Backes scored her sixth and seventh goals on the year, leaving her one shy from cracking the top 10 in WKU’s record book for goals scored in a season. Sunday’s match also marked the third time she has had multiple goals in a match in 2016.
WKU (4-3-0) held a 22-4 advantage in shots on the afternoon and a 13-2 edge in corners over the Eagles (3-3-1).
