SORRENTO, Fla. - WKU women's golf fired a six-over par 294 in the opening round of the Morehead State Citrus Challenge on Sunday and is in a four-way tie for second heading into the second round at the Red Tail Golf Club.

The Lady Toppers are alongside Ball State, Elon and Florida Gulf Coast with identical scores of 294, just two strokes behind Jacksonville State atop the team leaderboard. WKU's 294 represented its second-best round of the 2015-16 season, trailing only the 290 that the Lady Toppers shot in the first round of the Bluegrass Kickoff last August.
