STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. - WKU fired the second-lowest round of the day in the final round of the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate at the Eagle's Landing Country Club on Tuesday, finishing second on the team leaderboard with a 54-hole total of 35-over 899 (293-304-302).
The Lady Toppers' opening-round 293 was the team's second-lowest round of the 2015-16 year, trailing only a 290 in the first round of the Bluegrass Kickoff on Aug. 31, 2015. WKU also earned its second consecutive top-two finish after winning the championship at last week's Morehead State Citrus Challenge Invitational.
Elon captured the team championship with a 23-over 887 (293-297-297), and the Lady Toppers finished five strokes ahead of third-place finisher Western Michigan.
