IRVING, Texas — WKU women’s golf senior Ellinor Haag has been named one of 14 recipients of the C-USA Spring Spirit of Service Award, as announced by the Conference USA office on Wednesday.
The C-USA Spirit of Service Award is designed to recognize the community service efforts of the league’s student-athletes, based upon significant community service, good academic standing and participation in their elected sport. The award is presented three times throughout the season, with Wednesday’s honorees representing spring sports: baseball, golf, women’s rowing, softball, tennis and outdoor track and field.
An All-C-USA honoree in consecutive seasons, Haag led the Lady Toppers to a fourth-place team finish at the 2016 C-USA Women’s Golf Championship, their best result in a conference tournament since 1997.
