BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Coming off its deepest postseason run since 2006-07, WKU will open its 2016-17 campaign with an exhibition against Division II Young Harris College inside Diddle Arena on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. The Lady Toppers and Mountain Lions have never met on the hardwood.
Under Michelle Clark-Heard, the Lady Toppers have won their five most recent exhibition contests by an average of 43 points, including a 65-point victory over Ouachita Baptist last season. WKU has won all five open exhibitions since the 2012-13 season by more than 30 points.
The Lady Toppers return their top six scorers from a season ago and will have redshirt senior Micah Jones back on the court after she missed all but two games due to injury in 2015-16.
