W. Basketball. WKU Narrowly Falls to No. 18/17 DePaul, 77-69

ESTERO, Fla. – Junior Ivy Brown notched her first double-double of the season with 12 points and 12 rebounds and redshirt senior Kendall Noble poured in 19 points, but WKU dropped a tight 77-69 decision against No. 18/17 DePaul in the opening round of the 2016 Gulf Coast Showcase on Friday afternoon.

WKU (2-2) will now face Kent State in the consolation bracket on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. (CT) inside Germain Arena. The Golden Flashes fell, 84-42, against Baylor on Friday morning in the first game of the opening session.

Noble led the Lady Toppers with 19 points on the afternoon and was joined in double figures by Tashia Brown (15) and Ivy Brown (12).
