FORT MYERS, Fla. - WKU women's basketball will compete in the 2016 Gulf Coast Showcase presented by bd Global Sports as announced by the tournament on Friday, one of eight teams that make up the event's star-studded field that features five teams that reached the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
The Lady Toppers are set to open the tournament on Nov. 25 at 12:30 p.m. (CT) against DePaul, who reached the NCAA Sweet 16 following a 73-72 upset of third-seeded Louisville in March. WKU holds a 3-1 all-time record against the Blue Demons, but the two sides have not met since a 69-63 Lady Topper victory on Feb.
