BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - WKU has accepted an at-large bid into the 2016 Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) as announced Monday evening, and the Lady Toppers will host Dayton in the first round on Thursday inside E.A. Diddle Arena.
WKU will be competing in the WNIT for the 11th time in program history and will face Dayton for the 12th time. The Lady Toppers own a 10-1 record all-time against the Flyers, but the two sides have not met since an 87-80 WKU victory on Feb. 11, 1991.
The Flyers enter the postseason with a 14-14 overall record, falling 66-62 in their last time out against George Mason in the Atlantic 10 Tournament.
