W. Basketball. Creech Tabbed Kentucky Associated Press Co-Player of the Year

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Incoming Lady Topper freshman Whitney Creech, Kentucky's all-time leading high school scorer, has been named the Associated Press Kentucky Co-Player of the Year alongside Notre Dame commit Erin Boley as announced by the organization.

Creech, who was also named the Kentucky Hall of Fame's 2016 Female Athlete of the Year last week, completed her high school career with 5,527 points for Jenkins High School, the most by any athlete, male or female, in Kentucky history.

This season, Creech led the nation in scoring with 50.3 points, nearly five more points per game than her closest competitor.
