LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Incoming Lady Topper freshman Whitney Creech, the all-time leading scorer in Kentucky high school basketball history, has been honored as the 2016 Female Athlete of the Year by the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame.
The Jenkins, Ky., native, who finished her high school career with 5,527 points at Jenkins High School, was awarded the accolades at the Hall of Fame banquet on Thursday evening. Creech led the nation in scoring in each of her final two seasons with the Lady Cavaliers, averaging 42 points per game as a junior before pouring in an astounding 50.
