BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Facing a 31-29 halftime deficit, WKU outscored UAB 34-18 in the second half and pulled away for its 14th consecutive victory, a 63-49 decision inside Bartow Arena on Thursday evening.
The Lady Toppers (17-2, 8-0 C-USA) played stout defense over the final 20 minutes, holding the Blazers to just 6-of-26 (23.1 percent) shooting without a three-pointer. WKU knocked down half of its shots in both halves, finishing 26-of-52 (50.0 percent) on the night.
Tashia Brown led all scorers with 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting and added a trio of rebounds and assists.
