Western Kentucky needed key performances from a variety of players Saturday to pull off a 33-21 win against Ball State.
The Hilltoppers (2-2) took a late lead thanks to the efforts of veteran quarterback Mike White and freshman running back Jakairi Moses. Senior cornerback Joe Brown sealed the win, while fellow cornerback DeAndre Farris played the best game of his college career.
Linebacker Joel Iyiegbuniwe made seven tackles and both forced and recovered a fumble. Defensive tackle Evan Sayner collected five tackles, including his first career sack.
