The Bowling Green native Caldwell and his Utes (22-11) will face Western Kentucky (27-10) on Tuesday in the National Invitation Tournament semifinals. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. CDT from Madison Square Garden.
Caldwell, a sophomore, will face his hometown Hilltoppers for the first time. He spoke Sunday night outside the Marriott Marquis, where WKU, Utah, Penn State and Mississippi State’s traveling parties are staying in advance of Tuesday’s semifinals.
