Western Kentucky sophomore Kaleb Duckworth was named to the 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 Team on Thursday.
Duckworth became the 11th Hilltopper to receive academic all-district honors, joining former CoSIDA All-Americans Matt Rice (2009, 2011), Matt Payton (2009) and Ian Tompkins (2014). Members of the all-district squad must be a starter or a reserve that has participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s games with a 3.30 cumulative grade point average.
On the field this season, Duckworth has been one of the most consistent hitters in Conference USA, collecting multiple hits in 17 games and reaching base in every contest but five.
