The WKU women’s basketball team moved to 8-0 in C-USA play after picking up a 63-49 road victory over UAB on Thursday night.
The first half was a tightly contested battle, and the Lady Tops found themselves trailing at halftime by a score of 31-29.
WKU's defense was the deciding factor in the second half, and propelled the Lady Tops to their 14th consecutive victory.
“We came out in the second half and changed our defense up and I was really just proud of our team being able to adjust on the fly,” Head Coach Michelle Clark-Heard said in a post-game radio interview.
