Steven Duncan named WKU’s starting quarterback

With nine days until the kickoff of the 2019 football season, the Hilltoppers have found their starting quarterback.

Head coach Tyson Helton named redshirt junior Steven Duncan the starting signal caller on Tuesday morning after practice.

“I felt it was a very close battle,” Helton said on Tuesday. “Both him and Ty Storey were pretty even to be honest with you. Told both of those guys I’m going with my first instinct and that was to run out Steven out there.”

Duncan appeared in nine games a season ago, throwing for 1,071 yards, completing 58% of his passes and throwing nine touchdowns.
