Source: Brian Brohm expected to be named new WKU quarterbacks coach

The Brohm brothers are all together again.

Brian Brohm, the younger brother of Western Kentucky coach Jeff Brohm, is set to become the Hilltoppers' new quarterbacks coach, a source told the Daily News on Monday.

It's the first coaching job for Brian Brohm, 30, a former University of Louisville quarterback and NFL QB with the Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills.

Brian Brohm was playing with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the Canadian Football League until he was released Jan. 6.

He's in part filling the role vacated by Tyson Helton, who left his post as WKU's offensive coordinator this month to become running backs coach and passing game coordinator at Southern California under his older brother, Clay Helton.
