-- WKU softball is set to begin its 2016 season this weekend as the Lady Toppers travel south to Auburn, Alabama, to compete in Auburn’s Plainsman Invitational at AU’s Jane B. Moore Field. WKU is set to play four contests in the three-day invitational including a doubleheader Friday afternoon against Appalachian State and No. 4 Auburn. Action begins at 3 p.m. CT. against the Mountaineers while the showdown against the host Tigers is set to start at 5:30 p.m. CT. The Lady Toppers will play a single game Saturday morning against Butler starting at 10 a.
