WKU softball is set to conclude its current nine-game home stand Wednesday evening as the Lady Toppers will host in-state rival Louisville for a single game contest at 6 p.m. CT at the WKU Softball Complex.
WKU (11-15, 3-3 C-USA) comes into the mid-week tilt with the Cardinals off a 2-1 series loss to North Texas this past weekend. The setback to the Mean Green was WKU’s first Conference USA series loss since joining the league in 2014-15. The Lady Toppers’ lone victory on the weekend came in the series opener as WKU captured a thrilling, eight-inning affair on a three-run walk-off homer from senior Brooke Holloway.
