BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- WKU softball is set to close its non-conference schedule Tuesday evening as the Lady Toppers travel to Murray, Kentucky, for a doubleheader with Murray State. The first pitch with the Racers is set for 4:30 p.m. CT.
The two teams were originally set to play two on Wednesday, April 6, but inclement weather forced the doubleheader to be postponed for Tuesday.
WKU (16-24, 7-8 C-USA) is coming off a tough Saturday at the WKU Softball Complex as the Lady Toppers dropped a pair of hard fought contests late to Samford.
The opener with the Bulldogs marked WKU’s sixth extra inning game on the year as Samford prevailed, 8-1, after tallying seven runs in the top of the ninth inning.
