Ohmer tweeted Monday afternoon that he was committing to attend Western Kentucky and play basketball. He's previously been committed to play at in-state NAIA school Cumberlands.
Ohmer's commitment comes two days after his Eagles were knocked out of the state tournament with an 80-79 semifinals loss in Lexington to eventual state champ Bowling Green.
The 5-foot-10 guard finished with 33 points, eight rebounds and five assists in that loss to BGHS. He tallied 41 points and 17 rebounds in a first-round win against Harlan County and 32 points and 10 rebounds in the quarterfinals against Perry County Central.
