Western Kentucky's Billy Tom Sargent leads the Hilltoppers through two rounds at Purdue’s Boilermaker Invitational, sitting in a tie for 20th with one round to go in West Lafayette, Ind.
Sargent, a redshirt junior, shot a 2-under 70 in Saturday’s second round at the par-72, 7,465-yard Kampen Golf Course. He shot a 76 in the opening round for a first-day total of 146.
Junior Stuart Easton is one shot back of Sargent at 147 (71-76), notching the Hilltoppers’ other under-par round of the day.
WKU is in 15th place as a team with a 598 (301-297) total in a field that features nine teams ranked in the GolfStat Top 100.
