Sanford will take his Western Kentucky team to Nashville on Nov. 4 to meet coach Derek Mason and the Vanderbilt Commodores. He’ll stand across the field from a coach he used to live next to when the two were both Stanford assistants.
The current Vandy and WKU coaches were neighbors in what Sanford said Cardinal quarterback Andrew Luck called “the Stanford coaching ghetto.”
“Ghetto has a different traditional connotation than a rough area,” Sanford told The Wake Up Zone on Nashville’s 104.5 The Zone last week. “It’s a collection of one type of individual, as Andrew Luck would define it.
