Scout reported Thursday afternoon that former Virginia guard Darius Thompson signed paperwork with WKU and will be transferring to the Hilltoppers’ program. As a grad transfer, he’ll be eligible to play right away.
Thompson, a 6-foot-4, 196-pound guard from Murfreesboro, Tenn., started his career at Tennessee before transferring to Virginia.
Thompson averaged 6.2 points, 2.2 assists and 1.6 rebounds last year for the Cavaliers, hitting 44.8 percent of his field goals, 35.
