Point guard Parris has WKU 'near the top of my list'

The playing time that the Western Kentucky men's basketball team can offer guards this offseason continues to draw in recruits.

It's one of the reasons 2016 point guard Damari Parris said the Hilltoppers are "near the top of my list."

After visiting WKU last weekend, Parris – a 6-foot-2 prospect from Evelyn Mack Academy in Charlotte, N.C. – said coach Rick Stansbury's program could be the right fit to suit his desires.

"That's why Western Kentucky is near the top of my list," Parris told the Daily News in a phone interview Friday. "Coach Stansbury said I had the opportunity to come in and start at point guard and lead this team.
