The Hilltoppers will host Conference USA foe Texas-El Paso for Senior Night on Nov. 17. Kickoff from Houchens-Smith Stadium is set for 6:30 p.m., with the game to be broadcast by BeIN Sports.
The veteran coach was hired this offseason to take over Texas El-Paso’s struggling program. The Miners went 0-12 last season and have produced a single winning season since 2006.
“I wanted to get across to them that they were going to be working in a really positive environment – an environment that was going to have discipline but one that was going to be positive and help them to enjoy playing the game of football,” Dimel said.
