But with the Hilltoppers in trouble late in the second game of a doubleheader, coach Amy Tudor called on the pitcher to make a second appearance.
“Like coach T says all the time, you’ve got to be ready when your number is called,” Nunn said.
Nunn entered with two outs in the top of the seventh inning. Indiana State was down two runs with a runner on second and the tying run at the plate.
The sophomore Nunn got Sycamores cleanup hitter Bella Peterson to fly out to WKU left fielder Taylor Davis, clinching a 9-7 victory in the Hilltopper Classic at the WKU Softball Complex.
