Norfleet was 3-for-3 at the plate with a three-run home run in the second inning. Norfleet also hit two doubles.
After jumping out to a 3-0 on the Norfleet home run, WKU extended its lead with a four-run sixth inning. Doubles from Norfleet and junior Taylor Proctor along with an RBI single from Hannah Parker highlighted the inning for the Lady Toppers.
Valpo broke WKU’s shutout attempt in the top of the seventh inning as the Crusaders tallied a run on their third hit of the game.
Hannah Parker (5-1) recorded her third consecutive victory for WKU as the sophomore threw six shutout innings while allowing just a pair of hits and striking out fives.
