WKU student-athletes Kendall Noble and Ellinor Haag have been named recipients of the Conference USA 2015-16 Scholar Athlete of the Year awards, as announced Tuesday by the league office.
C-USA Scholar Athlete of the Year awards are presented to the top student-athletes in each conference-sponsored sport, determined by a vote of the league’s 14 Faculty Athletics Representatives.
According to a WKU Athletics press release, the award is based on academic achievement (GPA), athletic achievement and service.
Noble, a redshirt junior guard for Lady Topper Basketball in 2015-16, became just the fourth player in C-USA history to sweep both the Player and Defensive Player of the Year awards.
