No. 22 Washington State snaps Lady Toppers' home winning streak

WKU (7-5) went into the night with the longest home winning streak across Division I, at 28 straight victories. The Lady Toppers picked up the 28th win of that streak Friday afternoon with a 3-0 sweep of East Tennessee State.

But it didn’t last through the night. The Cougars (9-0) dropped the first set 25-22, then controlled the second and third games by scores of 25-17 and 25-14.

WKU tied Washington State at 23 in the fourth set before the Cougars scored two straight points to secure a 25-23 game win and 3-1 match win.

Friday night marked WKU’s first loss at Diddle Arena since falling 3-2 to Michigan State on Sept.
