New WKU tight ends hope to continue program's strong tradition

New Western Kentucky football assistant Tony Levine is both the tight ends coach and special teams coordinator.

Turns out there's a connection. It's on the film of last year's special teams that Levine first found optimism for this year's tight ends.

The Hilltoppers must replace four senior tight ends from 2015, including a highly productive trio and a potential mid-round NFL draft pick in Tyler Higbee.

"I'm very encouraged when I put on the special teams video from last season, and I see Shaq Johnson and Deon Yelder and Desmond Maxwell covering kickoffs and showing their athleticism and their speed," Levine said.
