Quin Jernighan spent the last two seasons watching a pair of wide receivers slash opposing defensive backs and etch new marks in the Western Kentucky record books.
The redshirt sophomore is now stepping into an important role of that now-reputable position group tasked with filling a large void to keep the Hilltoppers’ offensive machine rolling.
Jernighan and fellow redshirt sophomore Lucky Jackson are ready to be the supporting cast behind the team’s top returning senior Nacarius Fant and fill the void left by WKU’s two all-time leading receivers, Taywan Taylor and Nicholas Norris.
That weight of responsibility is one the 2017 receiving corps embraces, Jernighan said.
