“Coach (Mike Sanford), he came to me before the game and said, ‘(D’Andre) Ferby’s not going in this game, so be ready,’ ” Moses told the Daily News on Tuesday. “I was waiting, waiting, waiting. Then when I finally got in, my mind was racing. I was nervous.”

Moses’ nerves didn’t show. The freshman running back took his first ever college carry for a 19-yard touchdown in the Hilltoppers’ 23-22 home loss Saturday.

Moses’ TD run came over the left side, with tackle Jimmie Sims and guard Brandon Ray creating running room for the speedy freshman. He flew through the end zone and into the home tunnel at the corner of Houchens-Smith Stadium, ran back out and celebrated with his teammates.
