From the strange saga of Mitchell Robinson to the stunning rise of Logan County football and the continued excellence of WKU volleyball, the 2017 sports season featured plenty of highs and lows.
The soap opera finally came to an end in August when the five-star prospect was granted a release from his scholarship - ending a year-long drama that started with his commitment in the summer of 2016.
After signing in November, Robinson averaged 25.7 points and 12.6 rebounds for Chalmette (La.) High School, playing a February game against Ballard High School in Bowling Green as part of the Wes Strader Schoolboy Classic.
