McGhee, Waters provide post punch off bench

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Jabari McGhee and Anton Waters have carved out roles for Western Kentucky bringing toughness and energy in the paint off the bench.

The two reserve forwards both played to that reputation Saturday afternoon in a 69-54 win at Florida Atlantic.

The redshirt sophomore McGhee scored a career-high 13 points on 5-of-7 field-goal shooting. McGhee’s 13 points were tied with guard Que Johnson for most on the team.

The 6-foot-7, 205-pound Tennessee transfer McGhee also finished with nine rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block against two turnovers in his 20 minutes.
