BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU men’s basketball head coach Rick Stansbury announced Friday the addition of University at Buffalo transfer Lamonte Bearden (6-3, Guard, Milwaukee) to the Hilltopper program.
Bearden, a two-year starting guard for Buffalo, will have two years of eligibility remaining after sitting out the 2016-17 season per NCAA transfer rules.
Bearden helped the Bulls reach the NCAA Tournament in each of the past two seasons and averaged 13.7 points and 4.2 assists per game – both team highs – as a sophomore in 2015-16.
He reached double figures scoring in all but six games as a sophomore, including tying a career high of 23 points at Northern Illinois.
